Teresa F. Cosgrove, 81, of Gordonville, PA passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St. Anne’s Retirement Community. She was the wife of the late John T. Cosgrove, Sr.
Born in Philadelphia, PA she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Stella (Jandura) Fronczek. Teresa was a 1952 graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School and worked as a scheduler for Bell Telephone Company and also the Jay Group in the warehouse. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was the matriarch of her family. Teresa loved her Polish heritage, her church and sorely missed her husband for the past 11 years. She enjoyed crocheting, the lottery, dancing the Polka, traveling with her late husband to Hawaii, Poland, Florida, California and Alaska and was known as the family historian and also known for her cooking, especially her meatballs. Teresa was a very feisty, independent woman who was a loyal Game Show Network watcher and Nancy Grace fan. Teresa helped with the Paradise Fire Company dinners and was the president of the Nickel Mines stock club and was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children John T. Cosgrove, Sr. and wife Jan of Lancaster, PA, Michael S. Cosgrove and wife Mei Ling of Magnolia, DE, Patrick T. Cosgrove and wife Shari and Francis J. Cosgrove and wife Pamela both of Paradise, PA, Teresa C. wife of Kenneth Cramer of Strasburg, PA and Coleen C. wife of Darren Dean of Lancaster, PA; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; two brothers Stanley Fronczek of Lemon Grove, CA and John Fronczek and wife Janet of Philadelphia, PA and three sisters Mary Montalbano of Camel, PA, Catherine Bush of Philadelphia, PA and Anna wife of Peter Durant of Florida. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Rebecca Catterall, two brothers Frank Fronczek and Joseph Fronczek and a sister Stella Kutys.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 11AM from St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Interment will be held in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA. Viewings will be held Monday evening from 6-8pm from the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 and also on Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 also at the funeral home.
