Station 43 Was Dispatched To 275 Old Leacock Road For An Outside Investigation. Engine 43-1 Responded LCWC Reported That They Are Upgrading The Incident To A Haz Mat Incident As They Are Getting More Info On The Call. They Getting The Report That The Trailer Has Damaged Containers That Are Leaking Possibly Hazardous Materials Which Added Rescue 47. While Rescue 47 Was Waiting On A Driver To Make The Response To The Haz Mat Call LCWC Advised Station 47 That They Are Dispatching A Class 1 Crash At 3333 Lincoln Hwy East. With That Report LCWC Was Advised To Cover The Both Incidents With Other Units And Rescue 48 Was Dispatched Leacock Township. On Wednesday Evening June 4, 2014 The Available 47 Personnel Arrived The Station To Fit Test, Activate The Pak-Tracker System & Receive Training Meeting Eric From Fire & Rescue Products. The Scott Air Packs Were Received Thru A Regional AFG Grant Hosted By Christiana Fire Company Station 52 Along With Kinzer, Strasburg, Westwood And Paradise. The Packs Were Ordered Last Year, But were Put On Hold Until The New 2013 NFPA Standards Were Released. Along With The 15 New Air Packs Came A RIT Bag As Well As A Pak-Tracker Firefighter Locator System For Safety Of Our Firefighters That If An Air Pack Goes Into An Alarm The Pack Tracker Will Activate And Will Assist In Finding The Lost/Down Fire Fighter. The Air Packs Will Be Put In Service Soon As Training Continuing. The Air Packs Will Be Replacing MSA Packs That Were In Service For Fifteen Years. Engine 45-2 Arrived As Chief 45 Established Command 45 With Crews Going Interior. Several Minutes Later Command 45 Requested All Units To Evacuate The Building With LCWC Hitting The Evacuation Tones. The Outback Company Arrived Assisting The 45 Units With Various Assignments Including The RIT Assignment. Units Were available To Return @ 20:35. 06/02/2014 17:42:56 VEHICLE FIRE-TRACTOR TRAILER-1A ROUTE 30 / LEACOCK RD PARADISE TOWNSHIP-Engine 47-2, Rescue 47, Tanker 43 & Amb. 43-1. Chief 47 Arrived Reporting A Fully Involved Trailer With Diesel Fuel And Hydraulic Oil Tanks On It, And Requested Another Tanker. Engine 47-2 (Lt. 47-1) W/7, Rescue 47 (Deputy 47) W/8 & Squad 47-1 Arrived Started Fire Suppression. Tanker 43 & 45 Arrived And Supplied The 47 Units With A Supply Line. The Trailer Was A Large Bale Shredding Unit And Was Traveling West On Route 30 When The Driver Noticed The Fire And Pulled Off The Roadway Into A Vacant Lot And Unhooked The Tractor From The Trailer. The Personnel Worked On Trying To Clean Out The Rubber Belting And Hay/Straw From The Rear Of The Trailer. Thanks To The Mutual Aid Departments For Your Services.
