Are you the type of person that you hear sirens go off and instantly start looking to see what's happening? Or how about traveling somewhere and come upon a detour in place by fire police due to an emergency scene? In these instances have you said to your self I wish there was a way I could of helped. Well, there is a very simple but impactful way!!! Donation of WATER & GATORADE!!
Just imagine a simple tree down on wires call, fire police standing on the hot blacktop directing traffic or a 2nd alarm structure fire in the high 90° temps we've had the past two days with feel of 105°+ ? It does not take long for one to start feeling the effects. Hydration is a crucial part for our local first responder heroes on emergency calls to perform at their best. So the next time your out grabbing a few things at the grocery store, consider picking up a case of water to drop off at your local fire station for the men and women serving our communities... What's A better way to fulfill that feeling of "I wish there was something I could have done " by saying you did... be safe. The volunteers spend a lot of time to serve the community as well as raising money to buy these items to keep them safe! Any donation or a kind word of encouragement is GREATLY appreciated!! |
