Bruce A. Wenger, age 65 of Kinzers, PA passed away at his home on Saturday, February 22, 2014. He was the husband of Joyce Sinclair Wenger with whom he celebrated 47 years of marriage on July 2nd of last year. He was born in Lancaster, son of Betty Miller Wenger of Ronks and the late Charles E. Wenger.
He was a graduate of Pequea Valley High School class of 1966. He worked for Case New Holland for 40 years retiring in 2006. He then worked part-time for Stoltzfus Feed & Supply of Gap. Bruce was a life member of Gap Fire Company where he was Deputy Chief for 6 years and chairman of the Ham Supper for many years. He was also a member of the Paradise Leaman Place Fire Company and in the past was a member of Liberty Fire & Ambulance Association of New Holland. He was a member of the Buck-I Hunting Camp. Bruce enjoyed hunting, fishing at Indian River, working with wood and was an avid Phillies fan. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and watching his granddaughter play softball.
Surviving besides his wife & mother are 2 children: Suzette L. wife of Robert Crandall of Lancaster, Troy A. husband of Lee Ann Fisher Wenger of Kinzers, 4 grandchildren: Brody & Logan Crandall, Courtney & Carley Wenger, brother: Barry C. husband of Lori Zug Wenger of Ronks.
Funeral service will take place from Calvary Monument Bible Church, 1660 Mine Road, Paradise, PA on Friday, February 28th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ralph Soper officiating. There will be a viewing time at the church on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in the All Saints Episcopal Cemetery of Paradise. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, P.O.
