Engine 47-2 1988 Grumman Engine 47-2 Came To Station 47 In November Of 1988. It Has Served The Paradise & Surrounding Communities Well Over The Years. Some Of The Fires In History That It Pumped A Lot Of Water Or Served A Major Part Of The Operation Was MeadowBrook In Leola, Sight & Sound, Corn Maze (Vehicles), Rohrer's Mill, Vintage Sales, An Old School House In Gap, 3 Of The Four Barn Fires In 2001 As Well As Multiple Other Structure Fires In Its 24 Years Of Service. The Company Feels That We Need To Continue To Serve The Community With Reliable Equipment And In Order To Do That It Is Time To Replace The 1988 Engine With A Newer Unit. An Engine Committee Was Established To Look At Different Manufactured Apparatus New Or Used And Make Recommendations To The Company. In The November Meeting The Engine Committee Chairman Drew Wenger Updated The Company On The Manufactures That The Committee Was Working With. He Told The Company That The Committee Voted 7-0 On A Pierce Because Of The Service The We Can Rely On From Glick's And Features The The CF Has Will Fit Our Needs. Following The Recommendation From The Committee, The Company Voted To Purchase A Pierce Dash CF Engine From Glick's Fire Equipment (Sales Person) Hen Woerth With The Financial Support From Paradise Township.
